Was it an act of revenge by those in power?
Kangana Ranaut – who’s been speaking about the ongoing investigations pertaining to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, has often called out the Mumbai police and administration, over the same.
The actress also engaged in a war of words with Shiv Sena spokesperson – Sanjay Raut, after she stated that she should not have to feel scared while coming to Mumbai as if it is ‘POK’, following which the argument quickly turned ugly.
Shortly after that, Kangana’s office in Mumbai was plastered with a notice from BMC, over an alleged illegal encroachment, while she was in quarantine at her home-town in Manali.

By the time the ‘Queen’ star managed to return back to Mumbai to look into it, her property was partially demolished by BMC workers – inviting the wrath of internet, who called it a ‘barbaric’ and ‘agenda-driven’ act.
So was this ‘sudden’ demolition an immediate after-effect of Kangana’s words against the ruling party of Mumbai?
Here’s how some celebrities have reacted on the debacle online:
1)

When laws of the land are totally disregarded by leaders themselves it is obvious we are slipping into a mafia state. What has happened to #KanganaRanaut s property today is a shame not only to our state but our entire country. Leaders cannot come from such hubris – shame

I don’t agree with many of the things Kangana has said in the last few months. The name calling, the vicious personal attacks on individuals, the vilification of people. At the same time i am not okay with her being subjected to personal attacks.

Though I did not like @KanganaTeam 's comment comparing Mumbai to POK I am appalled by the revenge demolition carried out by @mybmc You do not have to stoop so low. @CMOMaharashtra please intervene. There is a pandemic we are dealing with. Do we need this unnecessary drama?

It’s principally wrong and against Democracy to use power of a public office to get back at a person just because you dont like what they say or do- How is this any different than the tactics used by a Govt of unleashing CBI, ED, Police or even mob lynchers to silence dissent ?

Whatever the case, we can imagine how it must feel to see your hard earned property being demolished like this. Regardless of what is decided in the court of law, internet – it seems, has given it’s verdict – and it is clearly not happy with BMC’s move.
