Bollywood’s Deafening Silence on BMC Demolishing Kangana Ranaut’s Office

While the Bombay High Court has raised it’s concerns in the way the demolition exercise was carried out by Bombay Municipal Corporation, to bring actress Kangana Ranaut’s office down Wednesday morning, there has been an almost deafening silence from her colleagues in showbiz.

The actress may have rubbed a lot of people in the industry, the wrong way, due to her one too many rifts and disagreements with the powers that be – the silence on part of Bollywood celebs is still quite surprising, considering how often we see them attempting to raise their voices against what they believe to be injustices. Or may be not that surprising, after all.

Apart from a handful of celebs, who stay active on social media nevertheless, there hasn’t been much word on BMC’s act of taking down part of Kangana’s office premises – which is being viewed by many, as an ‘act of revenge’ or a ‘misuse of power’, resulting from her recent war of words with Shiv Sena party leader – Sanjay Raut.

This deafening silence hasn’t gone unnoticed by Kangana herself, who has expressed her thoughts on the same – hours after the rather shocking act by BMC.

Here’s what the actress stated:

“Fancy feminists, Bullywood activists, candle march groups and award vapsi gang has no comments on what High Court said about open murder of law and order in Maharashtra. Well done, thank you for proving me right always , you all deserve the treatment you get from me.”

Notable condemnations have only come from the likes of Anupam Kher, Dia Mirza, Renuka Shahne, Ankita Lokhande and a handful of others.

We suppose right is right and wrong is wrong, only on selective cases, for some.
