Shah Rukh Khan Remembers When He Did Not Have Enough Money To Furnish His House – ‘Mannat’

Shah Rukh Khan’s plush bungalow – Mannat located in Mumbai is one of the most iconic celebrity homes in the city.

The luxurious and lavish home has been talked about many-a-times over the coarse of the last several years since it came in the possession of King Khan, even as he extended it and added several more rooms and floors to it.



But the high-profile property wasn’t quite within the comfort reach of the actor – even in his peak.

Khan was seen with his with Gauri at her recent book launch event at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, wherein the couple gushed over how their dream home came to be.

Turns out – the actor had gone beyond his comfort budget to acquire the building and it took some time for him to completely furnish it and turn it into a home, due to economic challenges.

“When we bought the house we live in now, it was way beyond our means.” – the actor was quoted as telling in the event.



The actor then went on to point out how redesigning and furnishing the house was then a challenge as the interior designer they had approached was beyond their budget at that point. It was then SRK suggested wife Gauri to turn into a designer herself.

As time went by, Mannat developed into one of the most stunning celebrity homes in Mumbai. And also an iconic landmark in the city.
