Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha surprised everyone when they made their relationship public a while back. People did not see the odd-pairing coming, so it certainly came as a surprise for an active B-town actress to be mingled with an active politician of a big party.
Soon after their relationship went public, the couple formalized their affair recently with an engagement.
The couple’s engagement ceremony took place in Delhi’s CP on 13th May and was attended by a few of their close friends and relatives. The duo was all decked-up for the occasion as they also obliged the shutterbugs waiting outside, for pictures.
Soon after officiating a new chapter in their lives, the duo released a joint statement on their IG handles, expressing their gratitude over how stars aligned for them – despite their two, very different worlds.
The note said – “Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it’s amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined.”
They also thanked their fans and well-wishers for the nice things said about them:
“We are so touched by everything we have read/seen, and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us. Love, Parineeti and Raghav.”
In another post, Parineeti called Raghav and their union, “Everything I prayed for .. I said yes!”
