Anand Mahindra Says He Wants SS Rajamouli To Make Film On Indus Valley Civilization & He Replies…

Indus Valley Civilization – which sprouted in the pre-historic Indian subcontinent is one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

The artifacts and visual illustrations from the colonies established several thousands years ago, when the civilization existed in the north-western part of India, would make any history-enthusiast wonder about the times that might have been.

Such illustrations were recently shared on Twitter by a user which caught business tycoon Anand Mahindra off-guard and quite flabbergasted.

Mr. Mahindra – who frequently posts on social media, then invited SS Rajamouli to the thread – insisting that he should be the one to bring the story to the big-screen, bringing light to one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

“These are amazing illustrations that bring history alive & spark our imagination. Shoutout to @ssrajamouli to consider a film project based on that era that will create global awareness of that ancient civilisation”.

Rajamouli also responded to Anand Mahindra’s tweet and stated that he’s been keen on the idea ever since he shot his film Magadhadheera back in 2009.

“Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus valley civilization, narrated by that tree!!”

Encouraging him to take-up the gigantic project. Anand Mahindra wrote – “Delighted to hear this. Go for it!”.

Albeit, this is one project that deserves – not just Rajamouli’s scale, but also a keen sense of historic accuracy, that brings out the truthfulness of the era-gone-by, without sugarcoating or overtly beautifying anything.

Let us hope someone will soon have the vision to bring it to fruition.
