Kangana Ranaut Wraps Shooting Of ‘Emergency’: Announces Release Date Of The Film

Kangana Ranaut has finished the shooting schedule of her next-big directorial venture – Emergency.

The highly anticipated film helmed under Ranaut’s home production company – Manikarnika Films, sees her in multiple hats, including her starring role as the former prime minister of India, the late Indira Gandhi.



Kangana aims to project the troubling times of national Emergency from the early 70’s to the big screen, and that is no short challenge for any filmmaker.

Taking to her social media handle, the actress announced that she has wrapped up shooting the film and also has a release date for the same.

The multi-starrer venture will hit the big-screens on 20th October 2023, after a strenuous shoot by the star.

Kangana shared a very intriguing behind-the-scenes video from the making of the film, which detailed the huge team of professionals she was assisted with, during what seems to be her most ambitious project yet.

Emergency filming completed successfully… see you in cinemas on 20th October 2023” – she announced.

Emergency also stars – Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in important roles. According to early reports, the film has been made on a tight budget of Rs 25 crores.
