Filmfare OTT awards were recently announced honoring the best in streaming platforms and amongst the big winners of the ceremony was actor Abhishek Bachchan.
The 46 year old was awarded the ‘Best Actor’ prize for his performance on the straight-to-OTT release ‘Dasvi’. The social comedy was about a politician who aims to attain his 10th-grade diploma by clearing the examinations, after all these years.
While the award for BEST ACTOR (MALE), WEB ORIGINAL FILM – went to Abhishek for the film, the award for BEST ACTOR (FEMALE), WEB ORIGINAL FILM went to Taapsee Pannu for the film Looop Lapeta.
Expressing his pride in son Abhishek’s win, Amitabh Bachchan also took to his Twitter calling him the ‘BEST’.
Here is what Sr. Bachchan said about Abhishek, swelled-up with pride:
“T 4503 – My pride .. my joy .. you have proved your point .. you were derided, ridiculed mocked .. but you silently without any tom tomming, showed your mettle .. you are and shall ever be the BEST.”
Meanwhile, the film also went on to win the award for ‘Best Film’ on OTT for the year 2022.
