Gadar was no doubt one of the most iconic and remembered films of Sunny Deol’s career. Hence it bound create some frenzy among fans as he gets into those shoes again, for a sequel.
Originally released in the year 2001, the story of Tara Singh and Sakeena is being taken forward in a sequel, being released more than 20 years after the original.
Back then, the film broke all domestic box-office records, and was declared the biggest hit of that time – so all eyes remain on its sequel, as it aims to create something special once again.
Now, as the shooting for the film is going on, Sunny took to his social media handle to share another look of himself as Tara Singh – his iconic character from the film, with a turban, stubble and kaajal on his eyes.
Needless to say, not only did it make fans nostalgic, but also generated excitement among moviegoers – as they wondered if another mega-hit awaits in Sunny’s career.
As the first schedule for Gadar 2 wrapped, Sumny wrote – “Only a fortunate few get to bring amazing characters back to life. Presenting Tara Singh 20 years later!”
Gadar 2 has also brought back the original leading lady of the film – Ameesha Patel, in the role of Sakeena and the film is stated to be released later next year.
