Singer Shaan Left “In Tears” After Receiving Least Votes For ‘Best Playback Male’ Award In FAFDA 2021

Shaan has often spoken about how there has been a drastic change in the music biz, and how singers with trained voices aren’t valued as much as they should be, or they used to be in the past.

The versatile vocalist, who’s won several accolades in the past for his memorable vocal performances in songs like ‘Mein Hun Don’, ‘Tanha Dil’ and ‘Chaand Sifaarish’, was recently left heartbroken after not being recognized enough at a people’s choice award function.

Shaan was nominated in the ‘Best Playback Male’ category for 2021’s Films and Frames Digital Film Awards (FAFDA), and ended up receiving the least number of votes in comparison with other nominees, which included – Jubin Nautiyal, Anirban Bhattacharya and Mahtim Shakib.

FAFDA honors work done in music and films in the Bengali entertainment industry. And the singer was nominated for the song – E Naamey Se Naamer from his album Magic.

The singer shared his surprise on Twitter after seeing the real-time results asking his fans in Bengali, ‘what am I seeing?’, with a few crying emojis.

Awards or no awards, Shaan – you remain one of the best voices with some of most memorable songs that we’ve heard at the turn of the century!

No award bigger than that love!
