Nawazuddin Siddiqui Says Gangs Of Wasseypur Changed His Career & We Couldn’t Agree More!

Gangs Of Wasseypur – one of the most revered movies of the last 20 years, which developed quite a cult following over time.

Helmed through the realistic and gritty lens of Anurag Kashyap, the two-part film packed some pretty iconic characters and dialogues, which have not only turned it into an all-time classic but have also helped catapult the careers of it’s actors to another level.

And Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been in the center of it all.

The talented actor who played the role of Faizal Khan in the duology, has once again acknowledged the role this iconic masterpiece has had in building his career and leading him to where he is in his career now.

In a recent interview with Times Of India, the ‘Haraamkhor’ actor reflected back at the movie and spoke of the contribution it had in escalating things in his early-career.

“I feel all films change your life in some way. However, if I had to pick one, I would say ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ changed my career completely,” the actor was quoted as saying.

He further added:

“Apart from it, there have been several other films too from which I have learned a lot in my life. Whatever character I play, I get to know about his life and thoughts. That is one of the advantages of doing varied roles.”

There’s no doubt about the fact that GOW introduced to the masses one of the finest actors of our times in the form of Nawaz, apart from opening up a generation to accepting “niche” cinema more openly than they ever did before.

Gangs Of Wasseypur has been a game-changer for more reasons than one!
