“Tujhe Dekhke Goriya, Beyonce Sharma Jayegi”: Internet Slams ‘Racist’ Song Feat Ananya Pandey and Ishaan Khattar

After the viral wrath faced by Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2 trailer, another Bollywood video is facing the brunt of audience disapproval.

This time around – it is a music video featuring “star-kids” – Ananya Pandey and Ishaan Khattar.

While their new film – ‘Khaali Peeli’, was already under the radar of internet’s ongoing dismissal of anything that reeks of nepotism in showbiz, a new promotional dance number is now also being called out for being ‘racist’ to international singing sensation, Beyonce.

Entitled, ‘Beyonce Sharma Jayegi’ – the lyrics to the song describe Ananya as a fair skinned girl, stating that Beyonce will feel shy after looking at her.

Yep! I mean, what were they even thinking?

This, along with the lack of talent of the featured duo, hasn’t gone down well with the viewers – who have now given the YouTube upload of the music video over 200,000 dislikes as opposed to it’s 39,000 likes, at the time of writing this.

Users have taken to Twitter, stating that the makers should feel ashamed of using racial innuendos and that Beyonce should file a defamation case against them.

It’s 2020, people. We couldn’t come up with anything better than this?
