Narendra Modi was honored by United Arab Emirates with the country’s highest civilian honor, this past week.
The honorary medal which is generally awarded to kings presidents and heads of states, was given to the prime minister as a symbol of boosting relations between the two countries.
PM Narendra Modi has been awarded the UAE’s highest civilian honour, the #ZayedMedal for boosting the bilateral strategic ties between the two nations. President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan conferred PM Modi with the award.
Here is what Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, said about the PM Modi’s recognition in a Tweet:
“We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE President grants him the Zayed Medal.”
