Alia Bhatt Finally Acknowledges Her Advantage As An Industry Kid: “It’s Possibly Been Easier For Me”

For years Nepotism debate in Bollywood has been instigating discussions and controversies, but it’s never been as vivid as in the recent times.

Many-a-kin of famous ex-Bollywood stars, who find an easy entry into the biz – while “outsiders” who come from non-filmy background struggle for their first big-break, are now put to task by moviegoers, who don’t take what is served to them on a decorated platter that easily, anymore.



Now actress Alia Bhatt, who spawned from the famous Bhatt family, and who is consistently called-out for her industry connections – particularly those with producer Karan Johar that helped her fetch her first big break, has acknowledged the mileage she received for being an “industry kid”.

During a recent interview with with Harper Bazaar Arabia, Alia acknowledged the fact that it’s been easier for her to get into showbiz, because of who she is and to survive thereon because of all the support she’s had from her industry-pals.

“I empathize. I understand that it’s possibly been easier for me to get through the door than maybe the next person,” she told the publication.



“I acknowledge the fact that I do have that privilege, which is why I give 100 per cent every day and I never take my work for granted. The only thing I can do is keep my head down and keep working,” she said.
