Reality TV star Rakhi Sawant’s mother Jaya Sawant passed away on Saturday.
Jaya Sawant was battling cancer for a long time and had undergone treatment for the same on various occasions. Rakhi and her family were also support by Salman Khan during the past treatments of her mother.
But Rakhi’s mother had yet again fallen seriously ill a few weeks ago, and could not participate in her recent wedding to beau – Adil Khan, either.
She passed away earlier this week, after her condition further deteriorated. Just days before, Rakhi had also asked people to pray for her mother, as she also stated that she hopes no one suffers so much.
Rakhi is a frequent visitor and guest contestant on the popular reality show – Bigg Boss.
She had recently also been seen in the region Marathi version of the show this season.
A few weeks ago, she got married to Mysore-based businessman Adil Khan, and reportedly changed her name to Fatima. Rakhi also stated how her mother could not be a part of the union, because of her illness.
