Mumbai: Maratha Mandir Screens Pathaan And DDLJ At The Same Time

Maratha Mandir – the iconic theater in Mumbai which has been screening the iconic Yash Raj film ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ since it’s release in the mid 90’s, has always been a special place to go to – for all diehard Shah Rukh Khan fans.

As the actor much awaited film ‘Pathaan’ continues to ring havoc on the box office, shattering many records during it’s extended opening weekend, Maratha Mandir now proudly flaunts the peculiar sight of both SRK movies being shown at the same time.

The classic movie theater which has been running DDLJ for over 27 years, is now concurrently also running shows for Khan’s Pathaan – and as posters for both movies get displayed on the theater’s giant display wall outside, fans can’t help but feel all sorts of festive.

An image of the side by side posters of the two films at the theater’s display hoardings was shared by Shah Rukh’s manager, Pooja Dadlani – who aptly described how the actor has come full circle.

She wrote:

“Between these two pictures.. all of us have had a journey to cherish. @iamsrk’s journey… And just in case you don’t get tickets for Pathaan… you know what to watch!!”

Pathaan has already broken single-day box office records, despite all the controversies that surrounded it’s release.

Would be interesting to see if it has in fact opened gates for other Bollywood movies at the box office, considering the dull year the film industry faced in 2022.
