Saira Banu Gets Emotional On Dilip Kumar’s 100th Birth Anniversary

The iconic Dilip Kumar is set to be honored on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary.

The late actor will receive tribute in a two-day event at a special fest organized to mark his birthday.



Dilip Kumar AKA Yusuf Khan died at the age of 98 in the year 2021 and was accompanied by his wife and partner, actress Saira Banu for most of his life, all the way to the very end.

Saira – an iconic actress in her own right, has never shied away from expressing how deeply Dilip Kumar’s passing has affected her.

The actress attended the special film event organized in Dilip’s honor in Mumbai, which aims to showcase some of his most notable work in his illustrious career.

The 78 year old was seen getting emotional as she stood in front of posters of Mr. Kumar’s old film posters.



With tears in her eyes, she caressed the poster which featured a young Dilip Kumar in his classic films. The legendary actress struggled to hold back her tears while speaking to the media.

The film festival was in partnership with PVR Cinemas and INOX and showcased Dilip Kumar’s iconic films like – Aan (1952), Devdas (1955), Ram Aur Shyam (1967) and Shakti (1982), among others.

The festival in honor of the great Yusuf Saab was attended by some prominent figures of the Hindi film industry, namely – Waheeda Rehman, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Ramesh Sippy, Subhash Ghai, among others.



Truly Dilip Kumar’s legacy is one that continues to transcend generations.
