A beauty pageant winner and then a popular actress in some big films of the 90’s – Namrata Shirodkar was slowly building a name for herself, before she married south cinema’s star actor Mahesh Babu.
The actress quit acting for good and settled-down in familial life post her marriage with the actor.
Shirodkar has now revealed that it was the wish of Mahesh himself, that she obliged after quitting her acting career.
The former actress stated that Mahesh Babu was very clear before marriage that he did not want a ‘working wife’, following which they mutually decided that she was not to continue with her acting career.
Namrata revealed the same during a recent interview to a Telugu YouTube channel, Prema.
“Mahesh was very clear that he wanted a non-working wife. Even if I was working in some office, he would have told me to leave work. There are certain things we had for each other,” she was quoted telling during the interview.
She also went on to add that marrying Mahesh was the happiest moment of her life.
Namrata was last seen on the big screen 17 years ago.
