When Director Sanjay Gupta Said He Will Never Work With Sanjay Dutt Again, “Not in this lifetime”

Sanjay Gupta is one of those filmmakers who is known to never hold back while speaking about his work experiences with big stars and actors.

The filmmaker also had a not-so-good experience while working with old friend Sanjay Dutt during a project.

The two had initially collaborated in the iconic multi-starrer film ‘Kaante’, and were set to make another film – entitled ‘Alibagh’, which was abrupted in the middle.

The director later revealed that Dutt opted out of the film, without any notice of explanation, which forever altered their working relationship together.

“It left a bad taste in my mouth”, he said during an interview with Taran Adarsh.

He also firmly stated that the film was halted because of Dutt only.

He also went on to say that he will never be working with him again, because of the last impression that was left on his head. The film was apparently 85 to 90 percent complete, and was a close-to-heart project for Gupta, which he still wishes to release somehow.

“Not in this lifetime” he told Adarsh.
