One of the biggest actresses of Bollywood, especially in the 80’s and the 90’s, Meenakshi Seshadri, made a surprise appearance in Indian Idol 13.
The actress surprised the judging panel Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya by treating them with homecooked south Indian food.
The Ghar Ho Toh Aisa actress touched new heights of success in the entertainment industry back in the day, took an early retirement from showbiz. She got married to an investment banker in 1995 and then decided to move to the US with her partner.
On the show, She can be seen talking about her life after moving out of the country. She said in Hindi:
“Main US mein gayi, maa bani, wife bani, sab bani aur bawarchi bhi bani. Ab main keh sakti hun ki main South Indian vegetarian khana main kaafi accha bana leti hu (I went to the US, became a mom, a wife, also became a cook. Now I can say that I can cook good South Indian vegetarian food very well).”
The promo clip of the upcoming episode was shared by Sony TV on social media with the caption, “Meenakshi is also a good cook and contestant Deboshmita added more flavour to it with her singing performance”
Meenakshi Seshadri had worked in number of superhit movies such as Dilwaala, Hero, Damini, Ghatak, Shahenshaah and Ghar Ho Toh Aisa.
