Sharman Joshi Says He Has Requested Rohit Shetty To Include Him In Golmaal Series Again, But….

Sharman Joshi was part of the original and first Golmaal film – which came out in the year 2006. The film became a comic staple and established a devout fan-following, which helped the film’s curator Rohit Shetty sprout several sequels, as a result.

But for Sharman, the journey in the Golmaal franchise ended in the beginning itself, as he was not seen in the consequent sequels in the series, for some reason.

Many reported that it was due to some professional disagreements between Shetty and Joshi, as a result of which the actor was eventually left astray, and was replaced by new characters played by – Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu.

Sharman now wishes to join the team again, and become a part of the franchise that has continually done well at the box office.

The actor hasn’t been seen in anything major in the past couple of years, and this could serve as a return-to-limelight for him.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the 43 year old stated how he has tried to mend ways with Rohit and has even directly asked the director to help him make a return to the series.

Throwing more light on what exactly happened, Sharman was quoted telling the following to the publication:

“Some management issues. My management was not communicating too well. Money was, of course, the factor. They were asking a price which the producers were not very comfortable with. I was not aware this was going on. By the time I got to know, I approached them.”

On being a part of the next sequel, and requesting Rohit for the same, Sharman stated:

“I did request him that I wanted to be a part of the next Golmaal and he said ‘yeah yeah’. That’s where it was left at, an ambiguous yeah. So, I don’t know whether I will actually be a part of it but I am happy to be.”

Would be interesting to see if Rohit brings back to the original clan in the upcoming sequel and if the two can finally mend ways and come together.

The fans of the OG Golmaal would definitely love this.
