Kangana Ranaut has always been candid about her opinions on the entertainment industry. The Queen actress this time showered praises on seasoned actress Tabu after the immense success of Drishyam 2.
This is the second movie of Tabu in 2022 that stood out from the rest of the Hindi film industry in terms of the box office collection. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 that featured Tabu in the pivotal role ended the dry run of hindi films in the box office, the movie collected over 200 crores in the domestic charts.
Now, another movie that features Tabu in an important role, Drishyam 2, is going places in terms of collections. The film had a fantastic first weekend and has collected over 80 crores in India so far.
Kangana also credited Tabu for her contribution to revive Hindi film industry. She took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “Only two Hindi films have worked this year Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and Drishyam 2..And both films have super star [Tabu] ji in central roles, slaying in her 50s..single handedly saving the Hindi film industry..her talent and consistency has never been questioned and to look her best and reach the peak of her stardom in her fifties is commendable…I think women deserve much more credit for their unwavering dedication to their work…Such an inspiration.”
Drishyam has crossed the 120 crore mark in the worldwide collection. The movie is a remake of the Mohanlal starrer Malayam movie with the same name. The Hindi version also features Ajay Devgn and Akshaye Khanna in main roles.
