Parents go through all kinds of emotions as their kids transition through various stages of lives.
From raising them up as little toddlers to sending them away for school for the first-time, the idea of ‘letting go’ constantly clouds the heads of parents, as they see their little ones grow and become adults in their own lives.
Recently a video of a father crying out of the overwhelming thought of sending her daughter off to study in college, went viral – and it touched a resounding chord with many on internet who relate with the traditional Indian family value systems.
Instagram user named – Preksha, shared a reel of her parents dropping her off to Miranda House College in Delhi, and seemingly getting overwhelmed with emotions, as she steps into this new chapter of her life.
Preksha wrote along with the video:
“They were dropping me off at ‘our’ dream destination Miranda House College, Delhi University. It was my first day so we were just exploring the campus and suddenly I noticed tears rolling down my father’s eyes.”
She further added:
“He was so overwhelmed with happiness and was on another level of emotions. The fact that his jigar ka tukda will be living far away from him was a bitter truth too.”
