One of the most anticipated movies, director Om Raut’s Adipurush dropped its teaser on 30th September. But as soon as it went on air, it received massive backlash from the fans on the internet. Some pointed out the low quality of VFX used in the movie while many on the social media claimed it be a ‘wrong’ portrayal of the Indian Epic – Ramayana.

Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Raavan in the movie is being criticized the most by the followers. The makers had tried to give a modern look to the legendary character of the Indian Mythological Epic, with a beard, short hair and heavy eye makeup, but it did not go down well at all with the fans.

Now as per a report by Etimes, the makers have decided to remove Saif Ali Khan’s beard in the movie digitally by using VFX. And if the sources are to be believed the reverb process will start in some time and it will cost the makers additional 30 crores to adjust the presentation of other characters as well.

The film was earlier slated for a January 2023 release, but amid heavy criticism, director Om Raut has delayed the released till June next year for now. He took to social media to announce the decision with the fans and said that his team is “committed to make a film that India will be proud of”

There were many people who pointed out the portrayal of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman also in the movie who were seemingly wearing straps made of leather.

Made on a budget of around 400-450 crores, the movie is already one of the most expensive films ever of Indian Cinema. The movie stars, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles.

It will be interesting to see the changes they will make in a movie of such high magnitude.
