It is often said that animals are man’s best friend.
For their unconditional love is often reflected even after their human friends are gone.
Such was the case when a monkey showed up at the funeral mourning the loss of it’s human companion, who used to feed and take care of him.
The man from Batticaloa in Eastern Sri Lanka died earlier this month, and during his funeral the monkey – he shared a close bond with, showed up and sat beside the body, mourning the loss.
Locals revealed that the monkey would often visit the house of the deceased and would get food from him every now and then upon arriving at the residence. That’s where the bond between the two started – and the monkey remembered it all, even after the man was gone.
The heartwarming video has now made internet emotional and teary-eyed.
