“My music videos don’t have vulgarity”: Falguni Pathak On Why People Still Love Her Songs And Music

The Neha Kakkar vs Falguni Pathak war of words seem to be an unending one.

Ever since Kakkar released yet another remake of an old classic which has been adored and cherished by music lovers of the previous generation, all hell broke lose and the singer along with the makers were called out for “ruining” the original.

Neha has remade Falguni Pathak’s superhit song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’, and the same received such a backlash that it also caught the attention of the OG singer herself. Falguni was later seen re-sharing memes trolling Kakkar, and calling her out for the remix.

She has now also come forth with her first media interaction on the subject, and has reflected on why the public still continues to associate with her more than the present-day singers.

Falguni stated that there was a sense of simplicity in her music and videos back then, which still appeals to the masses. She also pointed out that she ensured that the lyrics to her songs did not carry any “double-meaning”, or that her music videos did not carry any vulgarity – which has made her stand out.

She went on to thank her fans for continuing to show love to the original.
