‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ Producers To Face Loss Of Rs 100 Cr: Reports Say Aamir Will Give Back His Fee

After the massive box office failure of Aamir Khan’s ambitious project – Laal Singh Chaddha, reports are rife that the makers are finding ways to recover the losses.

It is being reported that that the mega budget film has landed it’s producers in a soup of loss ranging up to Rs 100 crores.

The dismal box office performance is said to be a result of negative-word-of-mouth and bad reviews, along with a social media campaign that called for the film’s boycott – because of Aamir Khan’s previous film ‘PK’, which is alleged of hurting Hindu sentiments.

Nonetheless, the film that was made on a whopping budget of 180 crores, hasn’t even been able to recover half of it at the box office, and the makers are now facing a loss of 100 crores.

According to a recent report published by Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan has also decided to compensate the makers by waiving off his fee for the film, covering up the losses to some degree.

Reports suggest that Aamir will be shouldering the loss of 100 crores through his fee waiver to the producers and Viacom18.

Considering the fact, that it was a film made on a grand scale over the course of 4 years – it certainly amounts to being a disaster of epic proportions at the box office.

Would be interesting to see how Aamir Khan bounces back from this, if at all…
