Kerala Man Spends Rs 40,000 To Travel To Dubai Just To Buy Brand New iPhone 14 Pro

What more proof we need of the fact that technology has transformed from being a convenience to being a fad, than the fact that people are now overtly spending on things that they already have, and don’t necessarily need.

Case in point – new upgraded versions of smartphones, launched by the minute.

A man from Kerala, who is apparently passionate about Apple company’s iPhones – went out of his way to travel to Dubai on personal expenses, just so he could grab hold of a new model of the phone that is yet to arrive in India.

Dheeraj Palliyil, a Kochi-based businessman, spent Rs 40,000 on tickets to travel to Dubai, to buy a brand new iPhone 14 pro, becoming one of the first owners of the high-on-demand series.

After standing in an hours long queue, Dheeraj finally got a brand new model of the phone’s latest version from a premium reseller in Mirdif City Centre in Dubai. The phone itself cost around – Rs 1,29,000.

In fact, as per reports, this is the fourth consecutive time Dheeraj has gone out of his way, to grab the latest version of iPhone upon the first day of it’s worldwide release.
