“I Can’t Name My Son Ram”: Old Interview Of Saif Ali Khan Resurfaces, Ahead Of Vikram Vedha Release

Ahead of a highly anticipated project spearheaded by Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, namely ‘Vikram Vedha’, the internet has dug-out an old interview of the Pataudi royal.

Netizens have brought to light a past interview of Saif, in which he was seen talking about the choice of names for his kids with Kareena Kapoor, replying to which he stated something in the line of – ‘can’t name my son (lord) Ram)’

This was from a time when people were questioning Saif and Kareena’s choice for their first-born name ‘Taimur’, said to be inspired by Turco-Mongol invader ‘Timur’, alleging the complicated history of the conqueror and invader, who caused massive bloodshed back in the 12th century in northern India and beyond.

The interview also featured Kareena showing appreciation for the name – ‘Taimur’ while Saif stressing on the fact that he wouldn’t name his son ‘Ram’.

Internet was quick to dig out the old video in the wake of Saif’s upcoming movie with Hrithik Roshan, and needless to say boycott calls have already started for the film.

Would this take an effect on the film’s box-office turnout?

We’ll have to wait and see…
