R Madhavan’s Movie Rocketery Completes 50 Days In Theatres While Other Bollywood Movies Struggle To Survive

R Madhavan’s directorial debut movie Rocketery – The Nambi Effect has successfully completed 50 days in the theatres. The movie is based on the life of former Indian Aerospace scientist Doctor Nambi Naryanan.

The biopic received good response from the audiences and critics alike.

The movie may not be a huge box office success but its performance is considered to be good as majority of other Bollywood movies are failing to pull audience towards the theatres.

Many big and highly anticipated Bollywood movies failed miserably at the box office, the most talked about one out of them is Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie faced massive boycott calls from the fans due to the comments Aamir Khan made some years back.

Not only Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha but movies like Shamshera, Dhaakad, Dobara, also tanked at the box office.

Rocketery hit the theatres on July 1st and was released on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on 26th of the same month. But even after the OTT release the movie is doing good in the theatres.

The Tanu weds Manu actor took to twitter to express his gratitude towards the fans, he wrote, “Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. This is so very gratifying and humbling.”

Madhavan was recently honoured by the Megastar Rajinikanth for bringing the story of Dr. Nambi Naryanan on the big screen. He touched his feet in the meeting and took blessings from the veteran actor.
