Kareena played the role of an unabashedly cheerful and extrovert Punjabi girl, whose tryst with a man during her train journey back home from Mumbai, results into many-a-mishaps due to her extra talkative nature.

That 30 minute long train sequence with Shahid Kapoor has a separate fan base.

At the show, Case toh Banta Hai, Kareena also said that her look from the movie also helped increase the sale of Harem Pants, which she wore in the train sequence.

Kareen said in Hindi, “Mere Geet play karne ke baad harem pants ki sale aur Indian Railways ki revenue, dono badh gayi hai by the way”

Kareena and Shahid’s career got a great kick after this movie as the movie received love from the critics and audience alike. Director Imtiaz Ali also established himself greatly in the industry after the success of Jab We Met.

Kareena Kapoor was recently seen in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha – which was a highly anticipated project for both, but+ failed miserably to live up to the hype.
