Rajkummar Rao Reveals He Survived Eating One Parle-G Packet A Day Before Finding Success In Bollywood

The struggle stories behind all the successful and talented actors of film industry prove that nothing comes easy in life.

Case in point – one of the most talented and highly acclaimed actors of Bollywood, Rajkummar Rao – who also faced a lot of struggle before making a name for himself in the film Industry.

Recalling his struggle days, Rajkummar Rao recalled how he survived on one packet of Parle G a day.



Speaking at the India today Conclave the actor said, “There were times when I lived on one Parle-G ka packet a day with just Rs 18 in my bank account. Luckily, I had friends from film school who helped. But I never had a Plan B. I always wanted to become an actor.”

“I used to ride a bicycle 70 km up and down to Delhi when I was doing theatre. It was like going to meet your girlfriend. I worked really hard at FTII. I wanted to learn as much as I could,” He also said.

The actor haws given us some fantastic performances in movies like, Shahid, Omerta, Gangs of Wasseypur and Newton to name a few. For Shahid the actor waited all day long to meet director Hansal Mehta to feature in the film, he got the role and gave an impeccable performance to receive the national award that year.



Rajkummar was recently seen opposite Bhumi Padnekar in Badhai Do, which received great reviews from the audience. The actor is now busy in promoting his thriller movie Hit : The first case.

Coming from a joint family of Gurugram, Rajkummar Rao has really made it big in the film Industry solely with his talent and hard work.
