West Bengal Police Give Gun Salute To KK, Thousands Of Fans Gather For His Funeral

Singer KK’s death was certainly one of the most shocking losses for the Indian music industry.

The renowned vocalist, who’s given more than 20 years to the industry – singing some of the most memorable songs of our times, died at the age of just 53 – after suffering from a massive heart attack.



Funeral of the singer was held in Kolkata, where he was seen last performing at a concert – following which he started having heart problems.

As his mortal remains were carried in a vehicle, thousands of fans gathered on the roads to say their final goodbye to the singer.

West Bengal police also honored him with a gun salute, as he body was taken for cremation to the Versova Hindi Crematorium.

The visual was certainly heartbreaking to see – especially since it has happened so fast, that it is still hard to believe – just how uncertain life is.



KK performed to an over-crowded arena in Kolkata, and complained of non-functioning air conditioners and heat in the midst of his performance. As soon as he got back to his hotel, he fell unconscious on the stairs and was declared dead upon his arrival to the hospital.

According to some reports, the doctors have stated that the singer could have been saved if someone would’ve given him CPR when he fell unconscious.
