‘My wish of meeting him remains unfulfilled’: Pankaj Tripathi Becomes Emotional Remembering KK

KK was no doubt one of the most amazingly talented vocalists of the Hindu music scene in the last 20 years.

The renowned singer, who suddenly passed away of a cardiac arrest earlier this month – at the age of 53, has sung some of the most popular songs of Hindi and IndiPop music, that fans still remember and listen to.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi was also one of his countless ardent fans, who were influenced by his music.

The ‘Mirzapur’ actor has recently touched on the subject of his passing, and has emotionally remembered how it was one of his wishes to meet the singer.

While speaking to IndiaToday.in, here’s what the actor was quoted telling:

“I so wanted to meet KK during the recording of the song. When the recording happened, I was out of town. So, when I saw the picture of KK with Gulzar Saab, the director Srijit Mukherji, and Shantanu da in the studio, I had decided the day Sherdil’s trial screening happens, I will meet KK and have a conversation with him.”

He further added:

“I have been a huge fan of KK, he is one of my favourite singers. The song that he sang is a very soulful and wonderful track. However, my wish of meeting him remains unfulfilled.”

Truly, KK’s death has affected every music lover in India, but his legacy endures through his lasting melodies that he has left behind.
