The trailer for Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film Laal Singh Chaddha has finally been unveiled.
After years of making fans wait, the ambitious project by Aamir Khan will see the light of the day in a couple of months, as it readies for it’s theatrical release – and the actor has unveiled the first trailer for the same.
The movie is based on iconic cult classic of Hollywood ‘Forest Gump’ – which was released back in the 90’s and won it’s lead actor Tom Hanks an Oscar in the Best Actor category.
Taking the screenplay of the original and Indianizing it’s peculiar story on many parts, the trailer showcases moments that fans of the original would definitely know by heart.
With Kareena Kapoor, recreating the role played by Jenny Wright in the original, and Mona Singh playing Aamir’s mother – a role that was played by the fabulous Sally Field, the film reenacts many scenes from the original – including the iconic starting with the flowing weather, that falls on the protagonists feat, as the story commences.

The most difficult part of this whole thing is going to be – living up to the expectations of the viewers, considering the fact that Forest Gump was as flawless a movie as it could be, and Tom Hanks’ act in the film was absolutely top-notch.
So how would this film be able to go beyond what was already the best depiction the screenplay could have been given?
It would be interesting to see how the audience receives this ‘desi version’ of the western classic..
