After owning the box-office like no movie of it’s budget has done in several decades, The Kashmir Files is getting released on streaming platforms.
The Vivek Agnihotri directed hard-hitting drama broke several box-office records, surpassing all expectations anyone had from the film – and taking it over the roof.
Many trade analysts have cited that when comparing the film’s budget and it’s cost-to-profit ratio, the film ranks right up there – among the all time greatest hits of Indian cinema.
Based on the violent exodus of Kashmiri Pundits back in the early 90’s, the film shows the never-before-seen side of the tragic series of events that not only led to the mass exodus of Pundits, but also the aftermath that has followed and has influenced the current generation over the years.
Serving as a mirror image to the present-day society, the film garnered immense love from both audiences and critics alike and after shattering every box-office record in the book, it is now releasing on streaming platform – Zee5.
The film has been given an OTT release on 13th May and can now be watched on Zee 5.
