In a truly heart-wrenching moment, siblings who were separated during the India-Pak partition in the year 1947 were finally reunited earlier this week – after 75 years since they last saw each other.
The brother – is a Sikh man living in India, while the sister is now Muslim – who has lived her life in Pakistan.
Separated for over 75 years – the duo were finally reunited in a heartening, emotional moment at Kartarpur corridor.
Man Aman Singh Chhina shared their story on Twitter, writing:
“One of the biggest advantages of Kartarpur Corridor has been that long separated siblings from 1947 have been able to meet each other. Just watched a video of a Indian brother and his Pakistani sister meeting in Kartarpur. Makes the eyes well up.”

The gut-churning tragic story of a lifetime of separation and an eventual reunion, touched the hearts of many across the borders.
A similar reunion had earlier taken place this year in January when two brothers living across the borders were reunited after a gap of 74 years.
The tear-filled reunion, touched the hearts of many…
Emotions run high and tears wouldn't stop from the eyes of septuagenarian brothers who were divided during Indo Pak partition but reunited at Kartarpur Sahib after 74 years.

Let us remember and send our thoughts to those countless forgotten souls, who lost their families and loved ones during the separation and the violent aftermath that followed.
