Ratan Tata is one of those figures in India, who has touched the hearts of the common man despite being one of the richest and most well-off individual of the country.
The iconic industrialist, is known as much for his humanitarian work as he’s known for being a part of our everyday lives through his many industrial achievements and products that have become a part of our lives for years.
Recently, the 84 year old arrived at the iconic Taj Hotel (also owned by Tata industries) in his affordable and super-cheap car – Nano, that too without any bodyguards.
In a recent interview Mr. Tata had revealed how the idea behind launching an affordable and India’s cheapest car like Nano, was to provide a four-wheeler vehicle to those many Indians who drove with multiple passengers in their two-wheelers, because they had to.

Mr. Tata – who has a net worth of Rs 3,500 crore, was seen sitting on the front seat along with his driver, in this 1 lakh-priced car, that was launched by him a few years ago.
Yet, again he won hearts with his humility and his ability to stay on the ground and remain connected with the common man.
If only every industrialist in the world was as thoughtful like him.
