Prithviraj is the next big period drama from Bollywood.
Based on the life and heroic tales of the legendary Chauhan dynasty king, who’s often regarded in history books for his bravery and heroism in the battlefield, the new film chronicles his life – marking the first time his story is being told on such a scale.
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi the high-octane war drama has been created with a whopping budget of 300 crores, but unlike other movies which are given this level of a mega-budget treatment, Akshay Kumar didn’t take long to finish the project.

It is reported that the actor completed the shooting of the film in just 42 days – which is quite astonishing considering the details filmmakers usually dwell into, when they’re investing this much in a project.
In a recent press interaction, the actor revealed that if it wasn’t for the ongoing global health-crisis, the film would have released sooner – as they had all completed it in such a short span of time!
“Come on time and leave on time, then film completes on time.” – he said.
Would be interesting to see how such fast-paced schedule for a film of this scale, reflects on the big screen.
Prithviraj releases in theaters on 3 June 2022.
