Jr NTR is riding on the unprecedented success of his recently released film, ‘RRR.’
The Pan-India and international success of the Rajamouli directorial venture has broken several box-office records, and with this, several filmmakers are jumping-in on the opportunity of dissolving the language borders between Bollywood (or Hindi Cinema) and South Indian cinema.
In the wake of the same, the actor was recently quizzed on his opinion on being labelled the country’s latest ‘biggest star’ alongside his co-star of the film, Ramcharan, to which he humbling responded by stating that there are others who’re far bigger than him and that they’re still “youngsters” compared to them.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, here’s what the actor was quoted saying when he was asked if he’s the ‘biggest action’ star of Indian cinema:
“The whole world knows it’s Salman Khan. I’ve been his fan for a very long time.”
He also spoke highly of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor for attending the screening of their film this past month:
“It was so sweet of him, so nice of him. A star of that stature. We are like youngsters in front of him. The love he has given to RRR, to Charan and Rajamouli, we are very grateful for it.”
NTR also spoke highly of Ranveer Singh, calling him a ‘ball of energy’ and was hopeful that the success of RRR and other South films is going to create a more unified and powerful Indian cinema.
