Lata Mangeshkar’s passing certainly affected the entire nation, and every music lover across the country.
But none of that can really equate the pain of her near and dear ones.
Asha Bhosle, who shared a special bond with her elder sister, and has been a legendary songstress in her own right, was recently seen at the first-ever Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award ceremony held in Mumbai this past week.
The songstress, while remembering the late icon and her sister, chose to sang a few lines of her great song, ‘Aayega Aanewala.’
The event was attended by some prominent dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was the first recipient of the award.

Lata Mangeshkar passed away on 6th February from multiple organ dysfunction syndromes in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.
Even after her passing, her memories continue to live-on, and will continue to do so – for several centuries to come.
