Watch: Man Says He Is The Young Boy Depicted In The Kashmir Files, Becomes Emotional Remembering The Moment

All kinds of reactions are pouring in from audiences after watching Vivek Agnihotri’s hard-hitting drama – The Kashmir Files.

The film is based on the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Hindus, in which innumerable lives of the community were affected, amidst an unprecedented violence recorded in the valley.



People, who are finally seeing their stories being depicted on celluloid, after nearly 30 years of the incident, are leaving the theaters completely overwrought with emotions.

Amidst all these heart-wrenching videos of audiences’ reactions to the film, another such video has been going viral on social media, which sees a man addressing people after watching the film at a theater.

In the video, the unidentified man is heard saying that the little Kashmiri Hindu boy depicted during the start of the film, is him – that the scene is based on his story.

The man, says that the filmmaker has put together all these real-life stories, to depict the atrocities on Kashmiri Hindus. He then becomes emotional as he recollects the moment, going back in time when he was threatened by a mob at the age of 11, during the exodus.

Truly, The Kashmir Files has left an unspeakable mark in audiences, but more so in the lives and minds of those whose stories it tries to tell on celluloid.
