As Deepika Padukone’s much-talked about Gehraaiyan releases on streaming platforms, there’s an unexpected reaction that has come in from none other than – Kangana Ranaut.
Kangana, who’s previously had much to say on the subject of Deepika – be it her mental-health struggles of her personal life, took to her social media to take a dig at the recently released erotic romantic drama.
Interestingly, Gehraaiyan is also co-produced by Karan Johar – another one of her “nemesis” from showbiz, so her diss becomes all the more interesting.
The ‘Queen’ star shared a video clip of a song from 1965-released film – Himalay Ki God Mein, and pointed out that it was that old-school kind of romance she’d much rather prefer, than what is being shown in Gehraaiyan.
“I am also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance … in the name of millennial/new age/urban movies don’t sell trash pls”.
She further added:
“…bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can save it … it’s a basic fact koi gehraiyaan wali baat nahi hai”.
Yikes!
That was a pretty direct and bold diss.
Wonder if Deepika would respond to this…
