Lata Mangeshkar’s untimely demise certainly shook the core of the Indian entertainment industry.
The 92 year old succumbed to her multiple health issues while being treated in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital, and died on Sunday, 06th February, 2022.
Reactions from all quarters of showbiz and beyond came-in, as the whole nation mourned the most iconic figure of Indian music.
Amul, the dairy-products brand – which is known to use it’s iconic animated imagery to reflect and comment on current affairs, also took to their social media handles to share their personalized tribute to the iconic songstress.
With an animated avatar of the late and great icon, singing and performing, Amul wrote – “Hum jahaan jahaan chalenge, Aapka saaya sath hoga (wherever we go, your shadow will follow us)” – in reference to her iconic recording, ‘Mera Saaya’ from the year 1966.
A bitter-sweet tribute, that makes us think of all the great memories and melodies she’s left us with, but also an immeasurable void in music, that will never be filled.
