The year has concluded and we already have a list of films that are worthy of looking back at.
While the film industry did suffer from major setbacks due to the ongoing global health crisis, with several big-budget films opting for direct OTT releases, and a number of others postponing their release dates, there were still some releases that stood out and touched the hearts of audiences.
While the Hindi film industry is yet to gain it’s full momentum, we have seen some pretty fantastic performances in the year, particularly from female performers.
While Kangana Ranaut showcased her on-screen prowess once again, with her power-packed performance in ‘Thalaivi’ – essaying the role of the late Jayalalitha, Kriti Sanon took-on the subject of surrogacy in India in her bold yet heartwarming film – Mimi.
Taapsee Pannu took-up a challenging role inspired from a troubled sports icon, while Sanya Malhotra earned the performance of her career playing a woman unable to find a way to deal with her partner’s death in ‘Paglait.’
