Lata Mangeshkar has been in the ICU of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital for the past couple of days, and she continues to be in the strict supervision of the experienced doctors of the renowned hospital.
The celebrated and iconic singer was admitted after suffering from a sudden bout of pneumonia and has remained in the intensive care unit since then, considering her fragile age.
The 92 year old, according to the latest updates – has now been taken off ventilator as a trial, as she was showing signs of improvement.
A statement released by her family, on her official social media account read:
“Lata didi continues to be in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai under treatment. She has been given a TRIAL of extubation (off invasive Ventilator) this morning. Presently, she is showing signs of improvement but will remain under observation of the team of doctors headed by Dr. Pratit Samdani. We thank each one of you for your prayers and good wishes.”
Meanwhile her family has requested to refrain from making assumptions or believing in false rumors pertaining her health, which they have called ‘disturbing.’
