Kangana Ranaut continues to face numerous legal actions for the many statements she has made online through her social media handles on various topics.
On Thursday, the 4-time National Award winner had to appear at Mumbai’s Khar Police station in response to a complaint filed against her for her remarks during famer’s protests.
Those protesting against the central government’s ‘farm bills’ had alleged that the actress had called farmers ‘Khalistanis’, when she made a statement in support of the bill.
While she appeared at the Police station in style, wearing a gorgeous saree accompanied with a pearl necklace, the actress did complain that she is paying the price of being a ‘nationalist.’
Sharing images from her visit, surrounded by security and media personnel, the actress stated:
“This country continues to ill treat and devalue nationalists and if you love your nation you are on your own against a very powerful enemy.”
She further added:
“Those in power would prioritize vote banks and for that, they can encourage terrorism. So it’s a lonely road and guess what? It’s alright #jaihind.”
Despite her ongoing legal battles, which are a result of her own bold remarks, Kangana remains one of the busiest actresses in town – in the professional front.
She has two films lined-up for release in the next year, namely – Dhaakad and Tejas.
She’s also preparing for a number of big-shot projects like – Aparajita Ayodhya, Sita and Imli, which are going to keep the actress busy and occupied for the next couple of years, at least.
