‘Send your children to the border, then call Pak PM big brother’: Gambhir Responds To Navjot Singh Sidhu

Navjot Singh Sidhu has time and again made pro-Pakistani gestures that haven’t gone done well with several Indian diplomats and politicians, each time they are made.

The cricketer-turned-politician has previously expressed his fondness for Pak PM Imran Khan, and has yet again called him his ‘big brother’ in a recent statement, irking many.

During his recent visit to Pakistan’s Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Navjot was quoted as saying the following by PTI:

“Imran Khan is my elder brother. I am greatly honoured. He gave us a lot of love.”

While several responses have come in from all quarters, politics and beyond, Delhi BJP MP and former cricketer, Gautam Gambhir has also taken a dig at Sidhu’s Pro-Pak dialogue.

Here’s what Gambhir wrote on his recent Tweet, in response to Sidhu:

“Send your son or daughter to the border and then call a terrorist state’s head your big brother.”

Strong words from Gambhir!

He also went on to use the hashtags – #spineless and #disgusting – in his Tweets.

The two countries have always has border conflicts and complicated cross-border politics, which have been severed even more in the recent times, with several incidents of cross-border breaches and agitations – making Indian diplomats pull back from associating with Pakistan, in more ways than one.

In the midst of it, Navjot’s remarks are bound to be controversial.
