As Aryan Khan remains under custody for further interrogations by the NCB, he is keeping in touch with his family – particularly dad – Shah Rukh Khan and mother – Gauri Khan, through video calls.
An official of the prison has stated that he has been speaking to his family through video-calls, while being in custody, as his bail plea has been extended till October 20th.
“As physical meetings with family members are not possible due to COVID-19 norms, all the undertrials are permitted to speak to their kin via video call once or twice a week. Accordingly Aryan Khan was allowed to speak to his father Shah Rukh Khan and mother Gauri Khan via audio visual facility,” the prison official said.
Apart from that Aryan has also received a money order of Rs. 4,500 from his family, which he is using for buying food items from the prison’s canteen.
“His father Shah Rukh Khan has sent him a money order of ₹ 4,500, which he received on Monday,” an official was quoted as telling.
NCB has alleged that Aryan’s WhatsApp chats have revealed that he was in touch with an international source who appears to be linked to the buying and selling of illegal narcotics substances.
The department has asked the court for further interrogations on the matter, which has resulted in the extension of the 23 year old’s custody, putting aside the imminent bail request submitted by his lawyers.
