Ronit Roy On His Struggle Days: ‘There Was A Time Jab Dal Roti Khane Ko Paise Nahi The’

In the past 10 years, Ronit Roy has seen quite a boom in his career, as he has established himself as a powerhouse performer with his roles in films like ‘Ugly’ and ‘Udaan.’

The actor, who started-off his journey back in the early 2000’s with renowned and incredibly successful television series, took some time to find that level of success on the big-screen as well.

Reflecting back on his days of struggles, as an aspirant who was yet to make it big in showbiz, Ronit – who’s now 56, remembered how he also went through days when he did not even have enough to eat or feed himself.

In an interview with Indiatimes, the actor was quoted candidly speaking about his struggles in the industry.

‘Daal roti khane ke bhi paise nahi the’ – he was quoted telling the publication, following which he asserted that he never thought he was going to become a successful actor.

Ronit maintained that he considers himself lucky and is grateful for all the success he’s received, from whatever chances he got in the industry.

Truly an actor’s profession is not an easy one in show-biz, with the kind of cut-throat competition that exists out there.
