It seems like Neena Gupta’s life has become an unabashed open book, in which every page details the ordeals of her eventful life.
The Badhai Ho actress has addressed all the up’s and down’s of her personal and professional life experiences, in her book ‘Sach Kahun Toh’ including her career’s revival in showbiz, and her second innings in Bollywood.
Giving birth to a child out of wedlock during a much conservative time in our society, Neena has always been someone who’s treaded her own path, and she speaks on it all in her tell-all memoir.
Neena also reflected on her family dynamics and the relationship between her mother and her father, that she says ‘killed her’ in the end.
Here’s what she is quoted as saying:
“My mother killed herself trying to hide what my father did to her. I think that is why I have written this book when my father, mother, brother, and bhabhi (sister-in-law) are no more. I don’t think I’d have written it if my parents or brother were alive. I think that was also one reason that I could write now.”
Neena stated how having ‘two families’ torn her apart, as she had to juggle between the two – and even had to divide her vacations.
Neena Gupta has written how her mother tried to commit suicide after Neena’s father tied the knot for the second time with another woman.
